Studio Ghibli is a Japanese film studio specializing in animated movies. They are based in Koganei, Tokyo, Japan. The studio was founded in 1985 after its first film Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (1984) became a great success, thanks to the funding of Tokuma Shoten. Spirited Away is one of the most famous creations of Hayao Miyazaki. It is a 2001 coming of age animated film. the film follows the story of Chihiro, a 10-year-old girl who is moving to a new neighborhood with her family. She enters the spirit world and faces tasks, so she can escape back to the human world. Spirited Away has won countless awards including being the first anime film to ever won an Academy Award. It has also won the top 4 spots in the 100 Greatest Films of the 21st Century with having 177 film critics from all over the globe.
